Keep your Subscriber lists clean and costs low

Managing your subscriber lists can be overwhelming, which is why we automatically remove invalid numbers for you. This feature helps you maintain a clean list and prevents you from paying for unnecessary charges on undeliverable messages. With our auto-cleaning feature, you save time, reduce costs, and ensure your campaigns reach the right audience.

Below are some frequently asked questions about how we handle invalid numbers and optimize your lists for success.

Q: How can I eliminate all those bad numbers that returned?

A: Our platform automatically marks numbers as "invalid" when we are confident they won’t be able to receive text messages in the future, such as landlines. This helps reduce unnecessary data management on your part.

Q: Do you automatically manage invalid numbers, or do I need to do some data managing?

A: Yes, we manage this for you! When we determine that a number is invalid (e.g., it’s a landline), it will automatically be marked as an invalid number for that contact.

However, for certain error codes like "unreachable destination" or "unknown handset," we don't automatically remove them, as they may be temporary issues (e.g., phone turned off or in airplane mode).

Q: Why are some numbers marked as invalid while others are not?

A: Numbers are only marked as invalid when we are fully confident they can no longer receive texts. For example:

  • Invalid Numbers: Landlines or permanently deactivated numbers.

  • Not marked as invalid: Temporary issues like the recipient's phone being off, in airplane mode, or in areas with no service. These may be false errors, so we error on the side of caution.

Q: Can I manually review and clean up numbers flagged with error codes?

A. You can review numbers with error codes in your campaign reports. If you find any numbers with errors that you want to stop sending messages to, you can manually mark them as "invalid." Once a contact is marked as invalid, no messages will be sent to that contact.

In the contact slide out, you can manually change a contact's status to or from "Invalid."

Q: Can I bulk delete Invalid numbers?

We recommend keeping your contacts to avoid uploading them again later. However, if you need to delete them in bulk, here’s how to do it.

  1. Navigate to the Contacts page.

  2. Open the Contact Status Filter menu and select the contact type "Invalid."

  3. Check the Status column to ensure all contacts shown have the status "Invalid."

  4. Open the More dropdown menu and click Delete to remove all invalid numbers in bulk.
