What are Groups?
In Textla, a group is a role assigned to your contacts that can be used to message a specific set of contacts. Some examples of groups can include anything from VIP's & long time customers to what types of toppings they like on their pizza.
Contacts are also able to be in multiple groups - so feel free to create as many as you'd like!
Best practices: We recommend that you utilize groups for more broad categories to place your contacts into. For the more specific groups that you would like to create - you can utilize tags!
Ultimately, it is up to you how you would like to structure your groups around your workflow and how you like things organized.
What do I use Groups for?
If you want to target a specific audience in your campaigns - groups will get you there! Just select the group you would like to send to while drafting your campaign, and they will be the only contacts that receive that message.
Use case example
Sally has a gym with a dance class, cardio section, and weight room. She can then make 3 groups:
Dance Class💃
Cardio🏃
Body Builders🏋️
If Sally would like to send a message about the dance studio being under renovation for the next week - the body builders probably wouldn't need this update. However, the Dance class would probably like to know about this.
Instead of spending extra money to send the update to her entire gym, Sally can send a campaign to only those in the dance class. It's a win-win! Sally gets to save money, the body builders aren't getting unnecessary texts, and the dance class won't show up to a construction site this Tuesday morning!
