What are Tags?
In Textla, a Tag is a role assigned to your contacts that can be used to message a specific set of contacts. Some examples of tags can include anything from age group to tax bracket.
Contacts are also able to be in multiple groups - so feel free to create as many as you'd like!
Best practices: We recommend that you utilize tags for more specific categories to place your contacts into. For the more broad groups that you would like to create - you can utilize groups!
Ultimately, it is up to you how you would like to structure your tags around your workflow and how you like things organized.
What do I use Tags for?
If you want to target a specific audience in your campaigns - tags will get you there! Just select the tag you would like to send to while drafting your campaign, and they will be the only contacts that receive that message.
Use case example
Steven owns a cookie company that deals with customers all over the world, and not all of them speak English - but he wants to send a campaign that all of them will understand. He creates 3 tags:
English
Spanish
Chinese
He can then create 3 different campaigns, each in different languages. The campaign written in English will be sent to contacts with the English tag, the Spanish campaign to those with the Spanish tag, and the Chinese campaign to those with the Chinese tag. Now everyone can receive the new message about his limited time double chocolate chunk cookies!
