How to bulk mark existing contacts as invalid from your Textla errors

Updated this week

You may have recently ran a campaign that led to you receiving some Error Codes. We recommend that you keep your contact list clean so that you don't send further messages to Invalid or Opted-Out contacts. While there are some error codes that will automatically mark the contacts as invalid, it is always best to review these yourself as well. Here are the steps to make sure you are keeping your contact list clean:

  • First, export your errors list. You can either do this from the Errors from your Campaign, or from your Analytics - Errors Page (this will display all error messages from the last 30-days.

  • Then, create a CSV with the appropriate columns. You'll need to have "Invalid" populated in the "Status" column to mark a contact as Opted-Out within Textla (see below)

  • Next, ensure that the Phone number and Status columns are selected to import (the status column should have the "Invalid" or Opted-Out" statuses). Then click Finish Matching

  • Finally, you will receive a pop-up confirming your choice that you'd like to update your contacts Statuses. You will click "Continue"
